Roman glass has been found throughout the Roman Empire. The earliest Roman glass and glass shards were aqua in color. This was from the common natural colour of untreated glass. The sand used to create this glass 2000 years ago no longer exists. Glass makers today cannot make a replica of this glass. This glass used in this cross pendant was found in an archaelogical dig in in Israel. It is set in sterling silver cross and has an 18 inch sterling silver chain. The cross is 1.75 inches long.
This is not a replica or a reproduction. This is genuine Roman glass from 2000 years ago. Please do not expose the glass to to water, sweat or chemicals as the color may change.
Each cross is a unique due to the variation in the glass.
