The Aurora Borealis Glass Beaded Mysteries Rosary is divided into 5 decades. Each 10 beads represent events also called mysteries in Jesus' life. Traditionally, there are 15 mysteries from the time of the 16th century and they are in 3 sets, joyful, sorrowful, and glorious. The Our Father beads in this rosary have those events of Jesus's life called out. The Our Father beads have the dates on when to pray each mystery.
For example, for Sorrowful, the mysteries are said on Tuesday, Friday, Sunday and every day during Lent. The Sorrowful mysteries are
First Sorrowful Mystery - Agony of Jesus in the Garden,Second Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus is Scourged at the Pillar,Third Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus is Crowned With Thorns, Fourth Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus Carries His Cross, Fifth Sorrowful Mystery - The Crucifixion of Jesus
Each rosary is 24 inches long and the beads are 7mm. It is imported from Italy. The crucifix is 2 inches tall.
